MY MESSAGE TO DEAR PARENTS & CANDIDATES…

I have been involved in Vocational Training and Education for the past 2 decades and have worked internationally promoting this exciting field. I have during this time also worked with the Malaysian government, assisting prospective students study various technical fields in Germany. I am sure many today are convinced about the quality and value of the German system

“The dual system is much discussed and researched and upheld as a model for countries around the world” (Bolinger and Wolf, 2016: Gessler et al., 2019)

As to its usefulness in terms of employability, this is what is stated by Autorengruppe Bildungsberichterstattung, in 2018 – 68 percent of apprenticeship graduates remained employed by the firm in which they had trained. Additionally, candidates of this program have the option of continuing their tertiary education by pursing a degree.

These are not my words. If I have any word of advice to parents and prospective candidates to this programme, it is this:

1. You have to possess the right attitude to succeed.

2. You must be prepared to put in the time and effort to pick up rudimentary German which will enable you to communicate at a basic level in Germany

3. You will need support when you arrive in Germany and my team and I are delighted to provide this.

These conditions will ensure your success and help you create an exciting future.

I am also pleased to be working with Skiltech, with whom I have had a longstanding relationship.
