I would like to take this oppurtunity to talk about my journey so far in the German TVET Program.
The conventional way of studying in Malaysia, of going to college and then into University, and afterwards securing a job with the qualifications that i earn after many years of studying did not seem to be a good investment. Knowing especially what fresh graduates are paid here and what expectations are set for them, the idea of going throught this process and paying a large fee for it was quite unappealing.
Through Skiltech I learned about the possibility to work and study in Germany, which of course is now a big part of my future plans and a realistic goal which I can strive for and achieve. I began my German lessons in January 2021 and after 9 months of studying I am confident in my ability to communicate in German. With that I was able to pass an interview to attach to a company in Bayern, Germany, and in November 2021 I will be there to begin the training.
I am very excited about the prospects of studying my chosen course while working at the same time, and indeed be independent even financially!
I look now to the future with optimism knowing that it is secured and I will be earning four to five times more than most of my peers and friends in Malaysia by the end of the three years training, whereby I will have a very high chance of remaining at the company that trained me with a more permanent job offer.
To that I would like to thank my parents, whom encouraged me to pursue this dream and brought me up to think ahead and be confident with my decisions. I would like to thank also Mr. Linggam, creator of the program, as well as Mr Patrick, for introducing me to this outstanding opportunity as well as also giving the necessary encouragement and support to reach my goals for this program.
